Entertainment reporters are already forecasting weddings and separations in the year 2010.

For veteran showbiz reporter Masaru Nashimoto, at the top of the list is actress Aoi Miyazaki, 24, married to Sousuke Takaoka, 27. The media has reported numerous scandals about the husband’s promiscuous activities, and many feel that the next incident will be the last.

Actress Maki Mizuno, 39, and politician Masazumi Gotoda, 40, are estranged – Mizuno now lives with her son at her parents’ home, while Gotoda resides at the public dormitory for Diet members. Officially, the separation is for purposes of the husband’s political activities, but rumors about his extramarital affairs were reported last summer.

The engagement of kabuki actor Ebizo Ichikawa, 32, to newscaster Mao Kobayashi, 27 is already being questioned, owing to Ichikawa’s habitual philandering.

Some reporters say that Jo Odagiri, 33, and Yu Kashii, 22, are already separated. According to entertainment reporter Tomoko Kawauchi, both actor and actress have been frequently seen or heard to be drinking separately on their own all night, which is beginning to sound a little too unnatural for a couple known to enjoy partying.

On the brighter side, there are happy relationships including Shun Oguri and Yu Yamada, Tomoya Nagase of TOKIO and Saki Aibu, Yoshimi Tokui of comedic duo Tutorial and Yui Natsukawa – some of the couples are expected to tie the knot this year.

Contrary to rumors stating otherwise, actress Erika Sawajiri, 23, and husband Takashiro, 45, seem to be hanging on, while some are saying that Akiko Yada, 31, ex-wife of the recently arrested Manabu Oshio, 31, may publish a collection of her nude photos.

Much will be happening in the entertainment industry this year.

It starts with some footage of the wacky people who have turned out to celebrate the new year: break dancing weirdos, a group wearing tiger masks, and a man “rapping” about the soba at his restaurant.

As midnight approaches, the pleasant mood changes to one of tension. Police prepare barricades and the big screen on a building overlooking Shibuya crossing is turned off early to discourage people from thinking there will be a countdown event. When clocks hit 0:00 and people begin celebrating, the wildness begins.

The a great “panic” fills the area around the station as it becomes too crowded for people to move. Police officers try to push people so they stay within the barriers. One cop is knocked over by the crowd. Broken glass bottles litter the street. There are also several people who have passed out from drinking too much. There was also some fighting.

It is noted that this event seems to be popular among foreigners. A few are more than happy to drink and dance in front of the news cameras. For some reason, one group of Japanese and foreigners was singing the “Ponyo” theme song. At least one foreigner joined a group of young Japanese who were climbing street poles.

Sorry to be posting this, but i'm looking for a fic that I read a few months ago. It was a Sakuraiba (Sho Sakurai and Aiba Masaki). It was either a one shot or drabble, and all I can remember is Sho ignoring Aiba, then Aiba painting on Sho's ceiling confessing to Sho.
